Was It Casual
🫧 My own spiral

I want him to miss me

What it usually means

Missing someone requires their absence, and absence can't be manufactured convincingly — engineered distance reads as strange rather than intriguing. What actually produces it is having a life that genuinely occupies you, because then the absence is real and so is the version of you he's missing.

What it doesn't mean

There's no ignore-him-for-three-days trick. What there is: being interesting to yourself, which is unfortunately slower and much more effective.

The one tell

Absence only works when it's true. Fill the week with something you'd have done anyway.

What you could send

Secure

“busy week ahead but free sunday if you fancy something”

Playful · Direct

“disappearing into a very packed week, see you on the other side”

“i'd love to see you — sunday's the realistic one for me this week.”
